Suppliments

What I supplement with day-to-day:

Vitamin D

This fat-soluble vitamin is essential for cognitive functioning, muscle function, healthy bones, teeth and maintaining a healthy immune system. It is important to take this supplement all year round as due to the majority of our working environments being inside we don't obtain enough sunlight. I take vitamin D from a brand called wild nutrition.I use viridian tincture Vitamin D3 as I prefer this as opposed to taking a capsule. Be careful alot of d3 capsules are derived from lanolon in sheeps wool, if you are following a vegan/ vegetarian diet then Viridian sources its D3 from Lichen.

MAGNESIUM

I take this just before bed, this is because it relaxes the nervous system and helps aid any muscle tension. Magnesium also helps regulate sleep patterns and improves mood. However, some may choose to take it in the morning as it contributes to a reduction of tiredness and fatigue, normal psychological function and a healthy nervous system.

B12

Being vegan it is essential to supplement with B12, it helps support normal functioning of the nervous system and also reduction in tiredness and fatigue. Insufficient levels of B12 will lead to infertility, anemia and nervous system damage. I use better you vitamin b spray as its especially formulated to be more bio available into your blood stream.

EDA&DHA

Obtaining equivalent omega 3's is vital for cognitive functioning, cardiovascular health, eyes and brain. Viridian EPA and DHA have formulated an oil using marine algae, combined with chia seed oil to provide a full spectrum of omegas 3:6:9. Chia seed oil is also very rich in protein giving an all round affect. Take in the morning to reap the effects of alertness.

After a workout, I  take tumeric capsules (The Naked Pharmacy) I am ready to go the next day. I like the Naked pharmacy Tumeric as the tumeric contains over 15 active curcuminoids. Curcuminoids are the active compounds in tumeric responsible for the health benefits. The greater the number and strength of these curcuminoids, the more enhanced the effects. in order for tumeric to be the most clinically effective, it must have a strength of at least 95% curcuminoids and also combines with 95% black pepper. The black pepper enhances their absorption into the blood by up to 2000%. The combination of the two help provide the full therapeutic power of the golden spice.

Keep fighting, healthy gut, healthy mind x
